Sunup Reflective Mulch
Produce plants love the increased UV Wavelengths/Sunlight/PAR. Substantial research has shown that the growth of plants actually increases with the higher levels of UV, (Par) now provided to plants. Other type plastic mulches and bare ground absorb these wavelengths. Sunup mulch reflects all of these wavelengths back up into the plant canopy.

Plant responses to Sunup mulch treatment include higher leaf density, thicker stems, higher blossom rates and more fruit set. This effect is achieved by Sunup redirecting the Sunlight (UV, PAR) from the ground back up into the plant system. Sunup also reflects the IR wavelengths, stabilizing bed temperatures. This means you will no longer have the wide swings from low to high temps in the mulch bed. Less stress to the plant system.

This film conforms to the Methyl Bromide "High Barrier" permeability requirement of the California Department of Pesticide Regulation for bedded and non-bedded applications. Film barrier properties have shown a 25% or better reduction in Methyl Bromide and water usage.

Crop Growth Study (Standard Black Mulch vs. Sunup Reflective Mulch)
